Five Bible Verses on Contending with Evil Forces

There are many dark forces at work in the world. The primary evil in the devil and those who worship him within governments, companies, and banks. We are confronted by the mechanisms of evil everyday in these late days of humanity. The new world order and other forces are constantly fighting wars and infiltrating nations to command them. We know God has allowed Satan to have dominion over this world. So when we are faced with evil forces or circumstances, here is what we are commanded to do.

1. Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

This passage in Ephesians tells us that we aren't in a struggle against a person or people, but against the laws of rulers, and against the authorities themselves. Many Christians point to Mark 12:17 as an excuse for bowing before corrupt leaders. However, this passage in Ephesians tell us that we must wrestle against the authorities and indeed against the forces of evil in the world today. It's important to remember that almost always in scripture the ruling class majority was corrupt and the prophets we read about worked outside of those bounds. The ruling spiritual leaders in the days of Jesus were the Pharisees, and Jesus strongly rebuked them. They were called blind. Mistrust of authority and spiritual leaders is biblical.

2. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ

This passage from Corinthians tells us once again that our struggle is not with flesh. Our struggle is not with worldly concerns, like capturing holy lands or invading countries. This is a spiritual battle. All things are possible through Christ. God has all power. When we call on God in righteousness, that power can destroy strongholds of evil. The second part of this passage tells us that as Christians one of our jobs is to stand against arguments that try to poison the knowledge of God. The last part of this passage tells us to "take every thought captive to obey Christ." I like this last phrase a lot! For as humans, our minds are prone to run wild with all kinds of crazy sinful thoughts. We are instructed to hold our own minds captive, tie them down, and force them along the way of Christ! What a wonderful message!

3. 1 John 5:19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

This passage from John let's us know frankly that Satan is given power over the entire world. We are still under the time of our curse. The curse that was put on us when we were sent from the garden of Eden. This quote tells us that we are from God, yet where we exist is under the control of Satan. If you're a proper practicing Christian you're well aware of this fact! If everything seems perfect in your world, you're most likely doing something wrong. The attitudes of modern Christians are so completely outside of scripture that few can any longer be called Christians. This was foretold as a part of the end times, the time of Jacob's trouble.

4. Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie-behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and they will learn that I have loved you.

This is a great passage for those who study closely the evil works of those behind the new world order, Illuminati, and the Zionists. If you have no knowledge of these plots, created by Satan worshipers and instructed by Satan himself, then do some research. All religious leaders should be aware of these things, lest they preach false political ideas. This passage is for you conspiracy theorists, God is telling you what will become of the ones that you see plotting the destruction of humanity. I tell you now, that you should fear not. Do not be sad because you see their schemes daily and few others do. As long as you stay close with Christ, these evil doers will be made to bow at your feet. God will show them how much he loves you for your allegiance to righteousness.

5. Ephesians 5:11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

This passage from Ephesians is a clear message from God that those involved in investigative journalism, expository news, whistle blowing, and sharing censored news are doing the work of God. Well done! We are instructed to expose darkness. We should take no active part in it, for those works will bear no fruit. We are instructed to tell the world!
